Worries for a friend

Someone I know was to undergo amputation surgery this week. I’ve not heard a thing, but that’s entirely natural, her loved ones surely have better things to do than to get online and tell all and sundry about how she’s doing. Doesn’t mean I’m not worried, anxious, excited, envious.

She’s gone through hell to get to that point. I hope it makes her feel somewhat better. I hope the surgery went well, that she didn’t have problems with the anesthesia. I brings her as much peace as I think it will.

I suspect whatever the result, it will not be apparent all that quick. Too much, too fast, too soon. Having to deal with pain of new amputation (trading one pain for another?), having to get back to a modicum of health. Lots on one’s plate.

Well then, you know who you are, if/when you read this, know there is someone in this neck of the woods that is thinking of you.
