It will be intense, I'm sure, but I don't think you can every recapture quite the original feeling of sitting in that chair for the first time. As an aside, you're not pretending to be able bodied. Unfortunately, you are able bodied. If you think that you are a "paraplegic with legs that simply happen to be working", then I'll be worried that you're getting deluded ;) I think the feeling will be different.
