Update on Jolina’s Status

Over the last few months, many people have asked how Jolina’s doing. I knew she was mostly ok, but haven’t been really in touch much at all. A couple days ago, I had a few minutes on messenger with her and she is doing quite well.

I can’t give very many details, she told me a while back that she’d write a proper update for us. But I can say that she is a double leg amputee, one leg below, one leg above the knee. She was in hospital a while, and in rehab a while longer. They’ve given her a "nice blue power wheelchair", as she says. :)

So, there you have it, she’s managed to get what she needed. I’m happy for her. I’m a bit bitter-sweet, because there’s an element of envy taining my joy for her. Perhaps someday, it’ll be my turn.

I am SO excited and happy for Jolina. I do hope that she writes about her experience very soon. I am dying to hear about her emotional journey.

Jolina, if you are reading this, best wishes to you from Chloe :)

Congratulations to Jolina. But how does she FEEL? Is she happier now than she was? Are there things she’s struggling with? Does she regret what she did, in any way? We want to know these things.

Haven’t spoken to her much. She’s promised an update when she has some freedom. She IS happier. She does NOT regret it. Dunno about struggles. I understand she may have to sell her house as it’s not possible to make it accessible. That is all the information I have! Sorry.

Congratulations Jolina, I’m happy for you. Or at least I’m trying very hard to be. Envy burns like fire; I wish I had a fraction of your courage.
