Transgender issues and wannabe issues.

One area that I want to explore more is the relation between transgender issues and the wannabe thing. The more I look at it, the more similarities I see. To name a few: it starts usualy at a very young age, it’s not socialy acceptable, people who learn of it tend to reject you, people who are having these feelings tend to be very unhappy until something is done about it.
Of course, there is one big flaw in thinking they are so similar… There is actually a genetic difference between men and women, so to say that you feel like a woman trapped in a man’s body makes more sense than saying you feel you’re disabled in an able body.
I’ve been thinking for a while about going to see a therapist. Not so much to cure myself as to go that extra mile to find some peace of mind. And I’m thinking that talking to a “gender therapist” might be the best way to approach it. Talking with someone who has a bit of an understanding about a similar issue. If anything comes out of it, I’ll make sure to keep y’all updated.
