Pretending online

What do you get out of pretending on-line? When I use the chair in my day to day activities, I use the chair and the vast majority just assumes I’m a para. Only at times do I have to really answer questions and tell stories.

Pretending to a disability on-line is a different story though. I have done it in the past but don’t quite remember why…

Perhaps it’s a way to relieve some internal pain but how is it much of a change? Not using the chair nor braces? So what it is is getting comfort from telling lies??? Or is it merely a psychological thing, even when we actually go out in the chair in public?

About Sean

Sean is transabled. His body image is that of an L2 paraplegic. He has been living pretty much 100% of his public life from a wheelchair for the last decade, but hasn't found peace of mind (and is unlikely to until he does become a para).
