Marking Time

Bit of poetic prose, or something like that, about marking my time. Your mileage may vary.

I wait.

In the morning, I wait for the end of the work day. At the end of the work day, I wait for the night.

On the weekend, I wait for the week.

Je cours sur place, expanding much energy.

Getting nowhere, nowhere to get to.

I am marking time. Going through the motions. It does seem endless.

Pointless.

Fruitless.

It is the journey we should enjoy, not the destination.

Enjoyable moments exist here and there on the journey. But is it really a journey if there is no destination?

Is it really a journey if you are stuck in the same rut?

I am marking time, still extant. I wait. I wait.

J’attends. J’attends!

J’attends le miracle. The miracle that will change my wasted life forever.

J’attends. I wait. I survive. I exist.

Marking time.
