Hollow In My Calves

I have an indent on the side of my calves. It’s a bit of a hollow, in the muscle itself. Whether I’m at rest or not, it’s there. It’s a bit like the hollow you get when you wear a ring on a finger for a long time.

Only these indents are caused by my wheelchair. They are right where the uprights of the front end of my wheelchair meets my legs.

It’s kinda cool. I’m "permanently" marked. Unless you were to run your hand on my leg and pay attention, you’d never know. But *I* know.

Nothing earth shattering here. Just one of those things.

I beleive what you are talking about is just the shape of your muscles, the reason you can see them that defined is either because they are really toned or you have a low body fat percentage or a bit of both.

I have to say, I envy you. I went grocery shopping today on my crutches and asked if they had a manual wheelchair, because I didn’t want to take the power scooters away from the people that needed them. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more at home then at that moment I first sat down…

@stuart, it does pay to read the entire post, usualy ;) My leg muscles are not toned at all, in fact i have a fair amount of atrophy. I don’t have much body fat either, but that’s not what appears. Besides, if it were muscles, the hollow wouldn’t be horizontal ;) Thanks for commenting!
