Bracing for comfort

Here I am, wearing my CTLSO (bivalve). I’ve had it on for about 15 hours. I often wear it overnight, but not usualy much longer than 8 or ten hours at a time. But lately, I’ve felt the need to wear it longer. When I am braced like this, it feels good. It feels safe, and secure in a way. It is most definitely a sensual experience, though in this case, not a sexual one.
You can read about how I acquired this brace in the Stories/Fiction section of the site, under the title Racked and plastered.
I’ll readily admit that sometimes the brace(s) are a sexual turn on for me, but this is not the reason I’m wearing it now. As I said, wearing the brace provides me with a feeling of comfort that I can’t seem to find elsewhere. It gets really hot, and clammy. If the t-shirt I wear under it doesn’t fit perfectly, I end up with skin pinched and that is highly uncomfortable. In fact, it would quickly lead to pressure sores. At times, I wear the brace a lot, like 20 hours on/4 hours off for a week or so. But I have to stop because I get small pressure blisters, and have to let the skin recuperate.
How can that be comfortable, you’ll ask? I don’t know how to describe it. It’s most definitely a "feel good" sensation. Comforting perhaps in similar ways as a favoured blanket is for a young child.
Interestingly enough, it also actually helps with back pains I often get when I sit at the computer for long hours. Bad posture, obviously, and the brace helps with that.
It doesn’t make for very good cuddles though, or so my partner tells me ;)
But in days where I’m not feeling too crash hot, every weapon in my arsenal will be used.

I too use a TLSO (no C for me) to help… I know the ‘comfort’ feeling it provides well, I find that pressure on our trunk helps a really large amount with that, and this provides that nicely :)
Mine is, unfortunately, not custom (it’s an ‘off the shelf’ model), so not as comfortable/nice/easy to wear for long periods… But it still helps. :)
