Clarification

I’ve been thinking about my last couple of posts and i guess i just wanted to make one thing clear.  I’m not trying to say that being infertile is a disability on the same scale as being paralysed.  But what i am saying is that there is a scale, and that everyone is going to have different definitions as to what they consider higher up or lower down the list.

 

I personally put being infertile pretty high up the list, but i realise that not everyone is going to consider it to be such a bad thing (in fact i’d wager that a great majority to society would think i’m being precious).  But being a mother is a longing deep within me that i cant really explain – just like these BIID feelings come from deep within and i certainly cant explain them. 

I guess i just dont want to come across as downplaying anyone’s experience, i just believe that everybody’s opinion is equally valid, and that those opinions are going to depend on one’s life experience, and just because someone might not agree with me (or vice versa), i simply want to achieve a mutual understanding which is respective of all opinions.
