Dreaming About You All

I had a dream last night. It was about you; you who read and write here. It was a good dream.
It started with me entering a large room with a big party going on. People seemed to know each other, but most of the faces were not familiar to me. Sophie introduced me to Ada and Claire. It was SO joyful to meet everybody, and it felt wonderful to be in your presence. I experienced great love for you all and I also felt loved. It was a very intense emotion.
I was awed by how beautiful Claire is. I looked around and saw that every one of you is indeed beautiful. I am now reminded of something one of you said in a comment a while ago: "People with beautiful souls cannot help but reveal themselves". I apologise for not remembering which one of you said this.
Claire took me into another smaller room which she had elaborately decorated. She had prepared two special ceremonial drinks for me, a hot tea and a hot cider. I felt very honored by her kindness. It meant I was a part of the community. I should add a context here: Claire has a unique place in my psyche because she is the first transabled person with whom I ever had any communication.
A rather odd thing about this party is that every one of us was presenting as able bodied. Indeed we were all able bodied; not a wheelchair or leg brace or amputation in sight. In the dream I was thinking how strange this is, but I couldn’t figure it out.
Sean was missing. I wondered where he was, so I asked. Apparently he was getting things ready. Exactly what was being got ready wasn’t clear.
Eventually two guys in wheelchairs showed up. Nobody knew who they were. Their wheelchairs were unbelievably mechanically complicated; I’d never seen anything like it, levers and pulleys all over the place. They told us it was time to go.
We went through some secret passages in the building and then started running in the streets, trying to avoid detection. Collectively we knew where were going, even though none of us knew individually.
Finally we arrived at a train. There was Sean, directing us to get on board. Well, not on board exactly; we had to climb on top of the train because we were stowaways and needed to avoid getting caught. It was very striking how much concern that we all had for each other: "Where is so and so?" "Oh I saw her climbing on back there".
Off went the train; and us. Destination unknown…
You may interpret the symbology of the dream as you wish. A long time ago I figured out that the one reliable thing about my dreams is that the emotions I feel in them are always valid. So this may sound corny, but it’s real. What I know for sure from this dream is that: I love you. And I thank you for that.
