Looking at me when I’m looking away

Will I ever get used to being an object of curiosity?
Well… Seeing as Sean just made me an author on the site (thanks so much Sean!), and seeing as he said he’d like some more thoughts on the site… here goes nothing…
Yeah… since I’ve had this beautiful wheelchair, and I’ve been going out a lot in it, I’ve realized just how often people really do look at you when you’re not looking. And then as soon as you look towards them… NOTHING! They can’t look at you anymore. They can’t even smile. And then they slyly and slowly turn their eyes to give you a sideways glance… But… NOPE… I’m still watching you trying to watch me. I’m not really used to it yet. I’d much rather them just smile and turn away when it’s comfortable. Like the old dude the other day who asked me if I wanted to race him to the door of this restaurant we were both headed for. HELL YEAH I’ll race ya! And thanks for not thinking I’m something that should be gawked at and then ignored. So there is another side to rednecks? Well… Some anyway.
