Hmmmm

Well, I just read a friend’s blog, in which she claims she’s giving up her (12) cats, selling her house, and becoming a nun! No less! Me, I was thinking, I wonder if they wear the wing type hats, flying nun, you know? Then I thought, how will she *possibly* survive without internet

But she finishes with "especially considering the date". Ok, ok, April’s fool. Good one! I thought I might do something like that here, but didn’t know what to say. Thought for a moment that I should say that "I’ve done it, I’m now a para"…

But when I started thinking about it, it didn’t feel like a good joke. In fact, not like a joke at all. The waves of sadness that came flooding in just caught me by surprise. Perhaps they shouldn’t have, I know where I stand on this issue. But here I thought, let’s make a big joke about it all. And I thought better of it.

I don’t think it’s joking material in fact. Not that one should take themselves so seriously they can’t laugh about themselves, but not in the context of April’s Fools.

Besides, first of April means we’re getting close to the date my spouse died. Not really in the spirit to make jokes. <shrug>

So, consider yourself April Fooled, even though I didn’t set you up!
