Hello Sean and thank you for your message. As you may have seen in todays pictures – August the 17th therefore almost a month and a half after my amputation I’m doing extremely well. I lead the same life as before, in that I’m able to do all my household chores, going to the stores, driving around, enjoying the beach and sea, etc….

I am thinking, here’s a woman who is finally happy. [...]Of course, of course, it’s entirely possible that this is just "post partum" euphoria, that in 6 months the reality and enormity of what she’s done will hit.

I don’t believe that its "post partum" euphoria, at least not in my case. I was sure, when I went into this (self injury) that I wanted to have my legs amputated. Of course one is gone and I need the other one off too, but in the meantime I am fighting the need as far as I can, although I know it will never go away until the leg is gone.

I will keep you all updated as things go on.
