Dude is indeed a troll, and I apologise for not having removed his post before. If you read Jen and Brice’s post and don’t get it, one comment was removed. This user used to go by the name “Steellegs” or some such, and has been warned many times before. He was banned under “Steellegs” and has now reappeared to pick a fight under this different alias.

Dude - First of all, learn to edit yourself. Secondly, what’s your agenda? Are you here to troll?

I have known a couple of people who have gotten their desired disability. I have yet to hear from anyone who says it was a mistake. After about a year post-injury, they drift away from the boards. I contacted one guy who said he just didn’t see the need anymore, that he was happy in a way that he never had been before, and didn’t need the support of others who were facing the same problems he had faced.

Sensing your aggravation at this board/site, why do you even come back?

As for my blog, i keep it restricted to only allow close friends to read; someday i may create a public one, but i’m not ready for that attention yet.

…and as for killing ourselves, that just ‘proves’ that we were mentally ill and needed to be drugged and confined, not offered physical treatment.

Yeah… in my own blog, i made a comment recently about the concept of ‘choices’ as our society presents them. This is what i said there:

“Some of these things are choices, while most are not - and even among those that are my choice, most are a false choice: the option to suffer in silence, hiding behind a mask, living a lie, because the truth is not socially acceptable, is NOT a real viable choice.”

i am wondering weather this would work in fact so much getting close to do it.
im sick of beig told there are choices in life when deep down there is only illusion of choice
for eg you go car shopping because you desperatly need/want a car and the only two on the lot are pink or brown now what would you choose???
i would go the brown (not that there is anyhing wrong with pink) and then after a few weeks or if someone says “why brown” and i say “i dont really like the brown i would of prefered blue”
they are going to say “but you chose it”
In conclusion are we ever happy
lol
not the point i was going for but it seems to fit
im just sick and tired of being me and the “CHOICES” i have

I don’t know what to do, but threatening suicide is silly. If a thief walks into a bank with a gun pointed at his own head and demands all of the money in their vault at the threat of suicide I really doubt that he is going to walk out satisfied.

I know many girls who in high school used this tactic to try and get their boyfriends to stay with them. It ultimately doesn’t work. I mean you are pulling the trigger, not the surgeon/boyfriend.

I think might work out better if more TA simply became surgeons.
