In September 2007 a physician offered me an elective amputation. I had not seen this coming. It seemed quite entertaining for someone with BIID to be offered an amputation. Too bad he wasn’t offering paraplegia.

Yesterday was one of those days that I was in a very good mood no matter what happened. Happy to have a wheelchair. Happy to have BIID… No, I’m not kidding! Hmm, maybe I should cut down a bit on the Prozac?

Off all things I do as a wheelchair user, there is one that really sticks to my mind as being a pain in the butt, and that’s getting in and out of the car, and loading the chair in and out. It is unavoidable, and is not particularly fun. The novelty wears out rather quickly anyway.
