I am in the habit of reading my own posts from a year ago, to see what has changed and what has not changed. For me, the most astonishing post so far is "Warning! Wheelchairs Can Make You Heterosexual". Getting to that point was a bit weird. What happened since is a bit weird.

Yesterday evening was the annual intersex support group BBQ party. Everybody had a great time, but there was one interaction that made me question the way I talk to friends about BIID.

After many tribulations, I finally had a "real" appointment at the local community mental health clinic. It was a bit of an assessment, and making sure we’re on the same page. I met with a psychotherapist whom I had already met with before, and a social worker who has trained as a psychotherapist. The encounter was mostly good, and somewhat challenging as well.

So far, Plan A ("accident") and Plan B ("deliberate self injury attempt") have both been rather disappointing. Time to give serious consideration to Plan C ("medical intervention").
