Yes, the answer to BIID is to study Zen Buddhism, or so "my" psychiatrist told me recently. Now, this is the guy I had a bad vibe about, as I described to you guys not so long ago. I saw him once. Several weeks ago. He was supposed to get back to me about meeting with his colleagues. He didn’t. Then, he rings me at home one evening.

When I met with that new psychiatrist the other day, he said that one of his patient told him he had surprised himself singing, and that it was a good sign that he was getting better. I’ve been singing too.

As some of you will know by now, I’ve been having a lot of nightmares, or agitated dreams over the last several months. It’s been weeks that I haven’t had a decent night’s sleep unassisted (prescribed sleeping pills). Last night’s dream for some reason made me think of repressed memories, and that made me wonder how it relates to BIID.

I went to see my GP today, for a shopping list of things that needed to be resolved. One of the things we discussed was how things were going with the psychiatrist he had referred me to a few months ago. So I gave him a short history of what had happened. His reaction was quite interesting…

Several years ago I was in a massive depressive crash (yeah, it happened to me a lot of the course of my life!). Anyway, a friend literally held my hand and took me to the local Mental Health clinic. An appointment was made two weeks hence. A week before the appointment I started to feel better. The visits with the psychologist and then the psychiatrist at that clinic actually did nothing for me, and the improvement felt before the first appointment slowly faded out and disappeared.
