I was watching a TV show last night, one of those "reality" TV shows. It’s a good mindless way to pass the time, and is usualy a fairly decent way to distract myself from BIID. But last night, well, last night surprised me and a 1 second shot of a paraplegic woman sent my mind reeling.

Last night, I dreamed that I was blind. It was a strange dream. It had more to it than the part where I was blind, but that’s the part that is sticking. I was blind, and not paralysed.

Doing What We Could Not Do

A recent comment reminded me of a complaint I have heard regularly from people with physical impairments. Basically, they are saying that we show a certain arrogance by continuing to use our legs, or doing "2-legged" activities, while stating we need to be paralysed or amputees. They seem to think that if we really had the need we say we do, we would immediately abandon things we can do in our AB bodies.

Who Hates Their Body?

I often read that people with BIID want a limb amputated because they hate that limb. Or that we want to be paralysed because we hate our bodies. To be honest, I don’t remember anyone telling me that they hate their bodies, and that is the cause for them being transabled.

More Dreams And Dream Messages

Since I started reducing the frequency of sleeping pills intake, I started remembering more of my dreams. I find it frustrating because I often recall the dream well as I just wake up, and tell myself "must remember", and by the time I’m dressed, have completely forgotten the dream! This particular dream was like that, only, I remembered it a couple days later!
