It’s really not comfortable for me to be secretive about BIID at this point. However, I make exceptions when there appears to be good reason. We had not visited Alicia’s parents in a year or so, and I asked her if she was okay with me talking about BIID should they ask about the right leg brace, which they had not seen before. She said no, and went on to explain about the disability baggage of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Magnetoencephalography Symposium

Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a brain imaging technique which Claire was subjected to when she went to San Diego as part of a BIID study several years ago. If you REALLY want to impress people when you disclose about BIID, you can say that magnetoencephalography experiments support the hypothesis that BIID arises from congenital dysfunction of the right superior parietal lobule.
