Do I Feel the Pain?

Phil asked me in regard to my Third Hike "Do you feel the pain at all?" I’m taking this to refer only to physical pain. It seems like a simple question, and the simple answer is "yes." However, the more I thought about it the more complicated the answer seemed to be. The question itself is not as simple as might first appear. There are mitigating factors which may lessen my pain:
