A few ski resorts in Utah have inbound extreme (triple black) skiing. Such areas are generally not marked on trail maps, or otherwise advertised by the resort, presumably for reasons of liability. The only extreme area at the ski resort where I am skiing this season is called "Fantasy Ridge". Fantasies are harmless enough, aren’t they?

There was one more discount ski lift ticket sitting on my bookshelf; one more day of skiing this season. I searched the internet for local outrigger rentals. No luck. I called the National Ability Center. No luck there either. Oh well; perhaps this would be my last day skiing with poles.

My ski season was delayed on account of financial considerations; but here I go again. It surprised me how much BIID was on my mind during the first ski day, since things have been relatively peaceful on that front. Several factors may have contributed to this.

I crossed a line (again) today. I had a sneaky suspicion this might happen (again) towards the end of the ski season. No longer Plan A. No longer the grey area. Plan B is the realm of the deliberate attempt.
