Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a brain imaging technique which Claire was subjected to when she went to San Diego as part of a BIID study several years ago. If you REALLY want to impress people when you disclose about BIID, you can say that magnetoencephalography experiments support the hypothesis that BIID arises from congenital dysfunction of the right superior parietal lobule.

As many of you have noticed, Claire hasn’t been around much these last few months. While I am in contact with her regularly via email, I miss her participation here. While skiing in December 2006, I sustained a minor T10-T12 spinal compression injury resulting in some permanent nerve damage. I am happy to have a teaser, but at the same time frustrated not to have much more extensive paralysis and sensory loss.
