With hindsight, my resistance to becoming a majority time wheeler seems quaint. Why would I have resisted a change in my life which has proved to be so beneficial? As with a lot of things, the answer seems complex.

I’m not having a good day… There was snow on the car this morning (Oct 27), the first of the season. It’s not unusual; pretty close to the average date of first snow in fact. No, I’m not intending a post about climatology.

The long cold snowy Winter ends. The long hot dry Summer begins. I am always atuned to the seasons. The changes are conducive to a little reflection on one’s own change as Winter launches into Summer.

If it’s too cold to wear flip flops, I think it’s WAY TOO cold. Yet, at the request of a friend I traveled to Canada in February. The trip was not at all what I’d expected.
