Hello, glad to make another friend across the net. In talking with X on the #LegBraces IRC, he told me of his interests that run parallel to mine. It’s amazing that after years of being alone with a dark secret to find that there are others that share the same interest/wish/desire … whatever it is.

In talking with X he told me of your skills as a hypnotist, just what several of us on the net had been looking for. He tells me that you are willing to help us realize something that we’ve all wondered and wished about for years. Perhaps if I explain my interest and frustrations it will help you to help us.

Just a bit of background first, I’m a 47 year old male with no significant physical or mental problems. Since a very young age, I’ve had a fascination of leg braces, people that need to use them to get about and the medical conditions that cause disabilities that result in the loss of lower limb muscle and nerve control. Over the years I’ve studied the available literature, collected pictures and other information on such conditions and acquired a set of braces of my own. While I’ve derived some satisfaction from the use of the braces, in some ways it just makes the problem worse … when I’m wearing the braces I know that I don’t need to have them to walk. In my heart I realize that anytime I want, I can move about like any normal person. The net result is that realization that I’m a fake, a fraud - I’m able to appear as a user without the real need. This has led me to the wish to experience the real need, to not to be able to control the muscles and perhaps not to even be able to feel my legs. After a lot of thought and research, the rational options have been reduced to hypnosis - the other choices present significant risks, some not limited to the desired state alone.
