How did it happen?

I fell about 30 feet at my workplace and sustained a burst fracture of L1 and 4. This kind of injury doesn’t always result in SCI but I unknowingly was born with a narrower than usual spinal canal and the resultant swelling of the cord caused the paraplegia. L1 (Incomplete) Roughly speaking that is just below the navel at the front rising a bit higher at the back.

About Sean

Sean is transabled. His body image is that of an L2 paraplegic. He has been living pretty much 100% of his public life from a wheelchair for the last decade, but hasn't found peace of mind (and is unlikely to until he does become a para).
