Do you mind being admired?

No I don’t as long as it is for the right reasons. I am not a hero or a super crip I am simply a guy getting on with life. Heroism requires choice. I have no choice. Physical admiration? If I am content and comfortable with my own body I shouldn’t criticize others if they admire it.

I am however becoming less tolerant of those who claim to want to be paraplegic without the sticky bits! Living as a paraplegic is a painful, frustrating messy and often humiliating business. If you understand that and still want to be a para that’s ok.
