I suppose it was my duffle bag that was hung over the back of the chair that provoked the incident. True, the space between the displays was particularly tight in that part of the store. I was looking at lumberjack shirts when all the baby buggies behind me fell like dominos. But some of them fell off the shelf and got stuck between my wheels and the display.

I took my new-found toy (the Vision Barracuda Dream Machine) for another spin the other day. With the storyboard for my training and awareness film well under way, I found some new pitfalls that could inspire a follow-up movie.

It’s very hard to describe how I feel in my new country. It’s exciting and worrying finding and applying for jobs. Half the time it’s boring in this in-between time. The installation has finished and work hasn’t yet started so it’s a bit like being on a long holiday with limited finances. But there is plenty of time for thinking about the future and, of course, BIID raises its ugly head on many occasions – like every five minutes at the moment.
