Limbo (sans the mambo music)

Well Sean has been asking me for eons to write something for the site, but I’ve been crazy busy until lately. So, here goes. It’s probably nothing worth reading, just my slightly edited ramblings.

I’ve always (for as long as I can remember, anyhow) been interested in, and sort of drawn to, blindness, deafness, wheelchairs, and even just broken bones. Yes, it gets that simplistic. I used to be attracted to people (guys and girls) who posesses these particular characteristics.

O The Innocence of Youth

Our garbage was getting full, we’d just changed the cat’s litter, and our new little dog needed to do her business.

I really like wheeling in our apartment complex’s parking lot at night. There’s no burning sun, crazy cars, or gawking people. It’s cool, quiet, and, at night, my little playground. There are curbs of all depths to be hopped, ramps to fly down, stairs to try to maneuver, and speed bumps. I love the speed bumps the best. It’s great fun to get some speed going and then roll over them holding my hands up. I’m not really sure why it’s so much fun.

Go away!

Almost two weeks ago (Easter day to be exact), my husband I decided to take a day trip to my favorite town. It’s the kind of town that is built like an old European city. The streets are narrow and full of pedestrians (and tourists), one can traverse the entire town by foot (or wheel), and there are little local shops and restaurants everywhere you turn. The town is also on the Atlantic coast with a port and a spectacular bay.
