Because it seems so many people are interested in "wheeling adventures", I’ll tell you about my typical trip to the city library. It’s not an adventure for me, not anymore. It happens every week or two, and has been for the last several years. So there you have it, my trip to the library.

Going to church

Recently I went on another pretending trip, to a new town this time. I drove about 3-1/2 hours, an hour further than usual, straight south, to make sure I got warmer weather this time! So I went south, to a place that had a good forecast for the days I planned to be gone. Note, it was still quite chilly, but at least relatively dry. As usual, I had several adventures, but the biggest adventure proved to be going to church.

Okay, so I’ve paraphrased the mail carrier’s motto a bit, but in my climate, that’s what I have to contend with, and that’s what will not stop my wheelchair from getting through. Here’s the story of my second pretending trip, a 2-day struggle through below zero temperatures and a heavy snowstorm.
