Playright looking for inspiration

I’ve been contacted by someone who wishes to speak to transabled individuals with the goal to understand Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) better. She is wanting to write a play with a character who has BIID. This is quite different from the usual request for documentary, as it does not involve direct participation or appearing on camera.

Request for participants for a documentary

On a fairly regular basis, I am contacted to help find participants for documentaries on BIID. I tend to just pass on the word and let you guys decide what you’ll do. So here’s another request for participants for a documentary. The difference with this one is that the guy in charge is aiming specifically at filming people who use a wheelchair when dealing with their BIID.

I have been approached by a documentary maker who wants to do a show about body integrity identity disorder. She isn’t the first to approach me and is unlikely to be the last. But so far, I like her approach and her ideas, and invite anyone to contact her directly if they might be interested in participating.

Looking for TV Documentary participants

I was approached several weeks ago by Shirley Jones of the Two Four Group, and independent television company out of London, UK. They are interested in making a documentary about (wheelchair??) pretenders, and are looking for participants. I am always gun shy around the media, and have exchanged several lengthy emails with Shirley before making this post. While one can’t be sure of anything, I am reasonably confident that they aren’t aiming to make a sensationalist piece.
