Lots of Activity!

Going through the list of posts in the administrative panel, I’ve been keeping an eye on the activity here. I don’t think there’s ever been a period that has been so active in the history of the site. Posts and comments both are flying back and forth! It’s good stuff.

There have been posts every single day since 20 September! That is one new post every day for the last two months!!! We’ve had many people posting, presenting different viewpoints about old ideas, or talking about their experiences and sharing with others what it’s like to have BIID. This is very cool. A vibrant and active site is what I’ve wanted to see for a long time. I hope this lasts.

It would be helpful if we had more writers. I was going to say that with the high level of unique visitors each day, I’m surprised that more people aren’t wanting to blog more, but then, I’m thinking of the hundreds of lurkers on the Yahoo! groups and I’m not surprised anymore!!!

The other level of activity is the healthy commenting going on with most posts. Some posts remain uncommented, but other posts see a lot of activity, up to 30(!) comments for one post. The discussion doesn’t always stay directly on topic, but that’s ok too. A little bit of organic growth is not necessarily bad.

Anyway, just that, I wanted to notice and underline the fact that we’re in the midst of the busiest time of the site. May it keep going strong!
