I am at the computer, sitting in my wheelchair. I’ve been at my desk for a little over two hours. I have not moved my legs in that time. Occasionaly I realise that my body is tense, muscles clenching. I make a conscious effort to relax the muscles, particularly my buttocks and thighs. This is in sharp contrast to last evening, watching television in the recliner.

I recently attended a week-long convention out of town. I chose to bring the wheelchair as I thought it would be more convenient than leg braces. My only previous experience out in the wheelchair was a short trip to the airport.

Over the last few months, I’ve been told by a handful of people that they resented me for my position of "leadership" in the BIID community. I wrote about that in a previous post. I was recently again accused of being a self-appointed leader. I was going to write an entire new post about it, but considering that I already wrote about it in February, I will let you all read this entry again.
