Bracing for comfort

Here I am, wearing my CTLSO (bivalve). I’ve had it on for about 15 hours. I often wear it overnight, but not usualy much longer than 8 or ten hours at a time. But lately, I’ve felt the need to wear it longer. When I am braced like this, it feels good. It feels safe, and secure in a way. It is most definitely a sensual experience, though in this case, not a sexual one.

Friends’ reactions to my wheeling

Over the years, I’ve told some good friends about being transabled and the fact I use a wheelchair. They haven’t seen me wheeling yet, and it is a thorny topic for us and the friendship.

An acquaintance was recently badly injured in a car crash. He has several fractures in his back, and the spinal cord was damaged.
